The Ultimate Black Friday Cyber Monday Checklist
Plot twist...
The brands that win BFCM already finished their creative.
In September.
Fluency has been planning for BFCM with our clients since July.
- Auditing what worked from past sales
- Building creative and messaging around funnel stage
- Locking timelines early so nothing gets rushed in November
A lot of brands obsess over the discount and forget the messaging that has to carry it.
So let's do a quick gut check on where your team should be right now:
1️⃣ Your pop-ups.
↳ If your BFCM offer isn't live and tested on site yet, that's the first thing to fix.
2️⃣ Your email flow banners.
↳ Every flow a customer hits between now and the sale should hint at what's coming.
↳ If your welcome flow still feels like it's July, that's a major red flag.
3️⃣ Your SMS flows.
↳ Audit your abandoned cart and browse flows.
↳ If they're still pushing full price, you're leaving money on the table before the sale even starts.
4️⃣ Your creative direction.
↳ Every brand you're up against is about to throw serious money at Meta and TikTok.
↳ You get about 3 seconds to earn attention. Bold and high contrast wins.
And one thing people forget completely:
A stranger who's never heard of your brand needs a different message than someone who already has your product sitting in their cart.
Same sale, different conversation. Simple.
A lot of DTC agencies reading this will think it's basic.
But that's the whole point.
Basic, done on time, wins over awesome that ships way too late.
All you need to do is sit down and confirm it's done instead of assuming it is.
So be honest with yourself.
Where's your team at with creative right now?
Locked in, halfway there, or still living in a group chat somewhere?
