🗽 NYC Trip Recap - The Lead Summit, Storm King Summit, & Lots of Smoozing! (Part 1)
Just wrapped a whirlwind trip to NYC and left feeling energized, inspired, and so grateful for this incredible community.
Tuesday night kicked things off with two amazing events: ☕️ Tariff Feud Happy Hour hosted by Rick Watson & Nick Kaplan at Apotheke in Chinatown — always a good time with sharp minds.
🌇 Then straight to The Lead Up to The Lead event on the Jimmy Soho rooftop — the views were great, but the schmoozing was even better. Great seeing new and old friends alike - Megan Blissick, Kait Stephens, Jamie Smith, Lexi Kaminer, Sara Pereda
Wednesday was packed:
Spent the day at The Lead Summit (more to come there — so many takeaways). Reconnected with friends and caught up with great partners like Thomas McCutchen (Bear Group), Johnny Crain (Northbeam), Jesse Rubinstein & Marlaina Pate (Hello There Collective), Postscript, and more.
That night, Fluency Firm hosted a private dinner at The Nines (highly recommend if you're in NYC). We were joined by some powerhouse brands, marketers and operators — Nora Lovotti, Laurie Verbinski, Wai Lin Yip, Carolyn Hsu, Alvaro De La Rocha, Jordan Finger, Shane Pittson, Elijah Khasabo, Elizabeth Reid, Hannah Underhill. Great food, better company, and the kind of conversations that remind me why I love what we do.
Between the thoughtful programming, inspiring leaders, and nonstop energy of the city — it was a trip to remember. Thanks to everyone who made this week so great — let’s keep cooking.
