Why Collaboration Is the Key to Scaling Your Business

Snoop Dogg dropped one of the most underrated lessons on scaling without losing yourself:

His best work never happened alone.

He talks about how it took him nearly 20 years to reach his first No. 1.
And he realized that a lot of that was because he was going at it alone.

Which is something a lot of us also fall into.
Get your head down, get the work done, and figure the rest out by yourself.

There's a moment he talks about from making that first big hit.

He's in the studio, verses written, feeling good about it.
His producer stops the track partway through and tells him the verse isn't good enough.

Go write it again.

Snoop doesn't get defensive.
He just goes back and rewrites it.

His reasoning: If you can't take a note from someone you trust, you're not built for the next level.

Every person on the Fluency team faces the same thing:

We are critical of our own work and each other's.
But it comes from a place of collaboration and teamwork.

The only reason I have gotten to where I am today is because of the people I have learned from along the way.

In my career, many of you know who you are.

But even in my personal life.

Many of you know this about me if we are friends - I ask A LOT of questions.

It comes from a place of curiosity and because I'm interested in what my friends are going through or where they've been.

But ultimately, I'm on a perpetual quest to learn from people who know more than me.
