8 Claude Prompt Frameworks for Marketing

Marketing founders are getting mediocre AI outputs.

And the cause is simple 👇

They're not briefing it properly.

Credit to Rohan Sheth for the framework, which fixes it.
(I added the DTC operator layer.)

Steal this to learn:
(See the visual for the full breakdown of each prompt 👇)

1️⃣ A-I-M: Audience, Intent, Message
↳ Use this when you need to build a campaign brief from scratch.

🗳️ DTC layer: 1 segment, 1 action, 1 message.
If you need more than 1 sentence to explain it, it isn't ready.

2️⃣ C-L-E-A-R: Context, Lead, Emotion, Action, Result
↳ Use this when you're writing ad copy or email sequences.

🗳️ DTC layer: Cold and warm audiences need different entry points entirely.
Write for the specific consumer.

3️⃣ G-R-I-P: Goal, Reader, Idea, Proof
↳ Use this when you're building TOF or thought leadership content.

🗳️ DTC layer: At TOF, the goal is a perspective shift.
If it isn't slightly uncomfortable to publish, it won't earn attention.

4️⃣ B-U-I-L-D: Brand voice, Unique position, Insight, Language, Distribution
↳ Use this when you're onboarding AI to write in your brand's voice.

🗳️ DTC layer: Describe your brand voice in 2 sentences.
Otherwise, AI fills that gap with average.

5️⃣ P-U-S-H: Problem, Urgency, Solution, Hook
↳ Use this when you need to write a high-converting hook or opener.

🗳️ DTC layer: Urgency comes from the threat of a consequence.
Name the revenue impact or the decision being delayed.

6️⃣ F-O-C-U-S: Format, Objective, Customer, Unique angle, Signal
↳ Use this when you're briefing content for a specific customer problem.

🗳️ DTC layer: The 3am problem is the brief.
If you know what's keeping your customer up, you know what to write.

7️⃣ R-E-A-L: Research, Edge, Asset, Launch
↳ Use this when you're building creative assets for a specific objective.

🗳️ DTC layer: Feed Claude the objections your customers raise.
The output is only as honest as the input.

8️⃣ W-I-N: Who, Insight, Next step
↳ Use this when you're writing for a single person in a specific moment.

🗳️ DTC layer: The more specific the person, the stronger the content.
Write for a real buyer.

Your prompts are the strategy.
Most founders skip this stage and blame the output.

You wouldn't hand this brief to a marketer and expect good work.
Don't hand it to AI and expect a different result.
